This is a beautiful and classy vintage shiraz cabernet made by two highly respected (James Halliday 5 star rated vineyards) winemakers.  The wine has balanced out with age and is drinking exceptionally well now.  Not for cellaring, this can become your house red at this price.  You could pay $20 a bottle plus delivery elsewhere or $55 a bottle at a leading Australian restaurant.   Superb Value. Made by a dynamic winemaking duo; Rolf Binder of Veritas and Kevin Mitchell of Kilikanoon. Violets, ripe berry fruit and dark chocolate are adorned with lashings of sweet vanilla-bean of quality oak. The palate is compact in flavour, beautifully structured with firm yet finely textured tannins and the finish is long - reminiscent of cherry liqueur.

"The 2002 Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon Dove Tail was aged in equal parts American and French oak. Its dark ruby/purple color is followed by a rich bouquet of chocolate, coffee, blackberries, and currants, a layered mouthfeel, a corpulent, chunky texture, and loads of fruit and glycerin."
